Bedrock Construction was founded in South Florida in 1992 by Richard Gay. After 5+ years of completing build outs throughout Williams Island, Rick decided it was time to put his expertise in Construction and fulfill his vision and start his own business. Since day one Bedrock Construction has been founded on doing whatever it takes to get the job done at the highest satisfaction of the client. Our passion, integrity, dedication, and transparency with clients are just some factors that have made Bedrock Construction a leader in the South Florida Construction Industry.

Rick Gay was born in Satellite Beach and has lived in South Florida for most of his life. Rick knew at a young age that he was extremely handy and wanted to pursue a career in the construction industry.
During his early years, he would intern at NASA as an Engineering Assistant. At NASA he spent most of his time being hands on in the process of building the Rocket Ships and Aircrafts. After a few years of working there he then attended the University of Florida to study Construction Management. He got his Bachelor’s degree from UF and then moved to Miami to start his career with his family. He then started his career as Head Foreman for all of construction that was happening in William’s Island. At the same time he was attending FIU to complete his Master’s Degree in Construction Management.
After gaining his Master’s Degree and after 5+ years of being Head Foreman at William’s Island, he decided it was time to start his own construction company in 1992: Bedrock Construction. Since Day one of business, Rick has established Bedrock Construction has a company that will do whatever it takes to complete any project. For 28 years Rick has gained tremendous experience in the Construction industry, completing many different projects, working with architects and engineers across South Florida, and working with many cities across South Florida. Even with this experience, Rick is still learning something new every day and is still using his outside of the box thinking to complete projects in the most efficient way possible. Rick is active has he oversees every aspect of Bedrock Construction. Whether it be an on site inspection, completing permits with the building department, overseeing major work at job sites, Rick is always there providing his expertise. Rick is always pushing his team to the fullest and is an outstanding leader with his unmatched work ethic.
Pattie started her career as a HR Manager for American Title Insurance Company and then had to stop working for them, when she decided it was time to start a family. While raising both children she was also taking care of many responsibilities for Bedrock Construction. Her multiple responsibilities are a vital role in helping Bedrock Construction function.
Barry has over 30 years of General Construction Experience where he started at a young age working in the Bahamas for his father’s construction company. Barry is one of Bedrock’s main foremans and has been with Bedrock for 20+ years. Barry and his team have a full spectrum of completing any project and has overseen and completed 200+ projects over the years. For the past 7+ years Barry has been in charge of overseeing the completion of full office buildouts throughout South Florida for Aids Healthcare Foundation.
Juan has over 25 years of General Construction Experience where he started working at a young age completing any type of project that was in front of him. Juan has been with Bedrock for 3+ years and has brought great value to the company. Juan and his team specialize in all types of shell work, Residential or Commercial, and are able to complete projects with great efficiency.
Patrick was born and raised in Miami. Patrick graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelors in Business Administration and started his career in the Finance Corporate world. He has now transitioned to Construction this year and is handling all the financials of Bedrock Construction.
